Ceramic artist Naoto Ishii, setting up the Climibing kiln in Kyotamba,
will exihibit his pots which were put in the kiln the end of last year in Osaka and Tokyo.
For Osaka,we will be holding a special dinner
by a chef Shiori Goto, who is also a lover of Naoto Ishii’s pot.

Naoto Ishii / Ceramic artist
1954, born in Kyoto
1980, He researched for soil during the study in Syoueki Ando research in Hiroshima University School of Integrated Arts and Sciences. During his study, along with the social problem of environmental issues he exploreed the “soil”.
1981-83, Agricultural life in north of Hiroshima prefecture.
1984-87, Training at Doraku touen in Iga province.
1992, Got wild field in Kyotanba-cho. He reclaminated the land.
1993, Built hermitage called “Kaigenken”
1994, Built a climbing kiln. Relocate the old folk house. Firing first kiln.
2009, Opening new workshop.
His works were presented at various galleries and department stores in Japan.
He held a solo exhibition in Seoul, South Korea.
“Yohen” in recent years, has been evaluated in European art lovers.
Shiori Goto / Chef
She founded her food studio in 2012 after working Bhutan restaurant, vegetable restaurant etc.
Based in Setagaya, Tokyo. She works as a caterer, catering chef. She does daily meals, seasonal dishes, lunch boxes and events.
